The Vancouver Biennale celebrates art in public space. We transform the urban landscape into an Open Air Museum, creating globally inspired cultural experiences where people live, work, play, and transit. Each exhibition becomes a catalyst for community engagement, learning, and social action.

The Vancouver Biennale features internationally renowned and emerging contemporary artists that represent a diversity of cultural perspectives and artistic disciplines including sculpture, augmented and virtual reality, performance works, music, and film.

As a non-profit charitable organization, the Vancouver Biennale relies on the support of its partners and friends to deliver award-winning programming. Visit www.vancouverbiennale.com for more information.

CACV logo.png

The Community Arts Council of Vancouver (CACV) was the first arts council in North America and 2021 marks it’s 75th Anniversary. Since its beginning in 1946, CACV has been a contributor to shaping the cultural life of Vancouver as an independent non-profit organization.

From music schools, theatres, art galleries, to museums and festivals, the CACV has been involved in the development of some of the most iconic arts institutions in Vancouver.

Our vision is of a socially-engaged, inclusive, and vibrant city alive with community arts. CACV is involved in community arts programs where art is made by, with, and for people sharing a sense of community. CACV’s current programs address sustainability and opportunities in the arts sector, Indigenous and non-Indigenous relationships, and collective resilience in the face of social and environmental challenges. Learn more about CACV programming and history at www.cacv.ca

We acknowledge we are on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We thank them for having cared for this land and look forward to working with them in partnership as we continue to build this great city together.
