Threads Through Time
A companion book to the weaving project that followed the Weaving Cultural Identities project of the Vancouver Biennale's 2018-2020 exhibition: a poem written by a young Muslim poet is woven into the border of a 31-by-15-foot tapestry that frames five monumental Coast Salish weavings. The book's vivid images and text tell the story of this significant project, which is the first time in 200 years that three local First Nations groups have collaborated in this way.
